After careful deliberation and consideration, the CAHR Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the on-site portion of the 29th Annual Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS Research (CAHR 2020) and proceed with the preparation of an online version of the event. While this is disappointing news to our members and the outstanding members of the CAHR 2020 Scientific Committee, this decision rests on the evolving COVID-19 outbreak which would have impacted the health and safety of CAHR members and Conference delegates, pulled leading infectious disease professionals away from their workplaces at a time of need, and contributed to the potential spread of the virus. While we will be going virtual this year, our goal remains the same: share the latest scientific advances in the field, learn from one another’s expertise, and develop new ways to treat and prevent HIV. Thank you for your understanding and support. Please stay tuned for more information and we hope to welcome you to our online CAHR 2020.
