Ottawa (October 7, 2021) — The Board of Directors of the Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR) is pleased to announce the co-chairs for the 31st Annual Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS Research (CAHR 2021). Co-chairing the 2021 Conference will be:
- Eric J. Arts, Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology and Executive Director of the ImPaKT Facility at Western University (London, Ontario) and Canada Research Chair in HIV Pathogenesis and Viral Control; and
- Carmen Logie, Associate Professor at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto and the Canada Research Chair in Global Health Equity and Social Justice with Marginalized Populations.
The selection process of the volunteer members of the Conference Scientific Committee is currently underway and full program details will be developed in the comings months. To be held in London (ON) at RBC Place from May 9th to 12th, the annual Conference is the premier gathering in Canada for those working in all disciplines of HIV/AIDS research, as well as policymakers, persons living with HIV and other individuals committed to ending the pandemic.
