CAHR is pleased to announce that Riley Tough (PhD Candidate in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Manitoba) is the inaugural Trainee Representative on the CAHR Board of Directors. Selected via an open call for nomination process, the Trainee Representative position is designed to include the perspectives of HIV research trainees in CAHR initiatives and determine how best the organization might best serve this community in its deliberations. To achieve these objectives, Riley will be taking efforts over the coming weeks and months to reach out the HIV Trainee community. Graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, residents, clinical residents, fellows and those who are new to the world of HIV research and want to expand their horizons are welcome to reach out to Riley at CAHRTraineeRep@cahr-acrv.ca to offer their insights and ideas for consideration. CAHR looks forward to working with Riley and amplifying the voice of the HIV Trainee community in its deliberations.
