Once again in 2021, CAHR will offer travel award programs to support participation in international meetings. While events will be going virtual in the short-term, eligible candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for conference registration support through the following programs:
- The HCP Travel Awards competition supports Canadian health care professionals to participate in continuing health education events. The first meeting to be supported will be CROI 2021 (Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections), which takes place March 6th-10th; and
- The Mark Wainberg Fund allows Canadian basic science researchers – working in the realm of HIV virology – to present their work at accredited meetings in Canada and internationally. Of note, CAHR 2021 (30th Annual Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS Research) which takes place May 5th-7th, 2021 is an eligible event!
These two award programs are made possible thanks to the generous support of ViiV Healthcare ULC. For more information on all CAHR’s awards programs, please visit www.cahr-acrv.ca.
