Each December 1st, we commemorate those that we have lost to HIV/AIDS while raising awareness in the hope of a better and healthier tomorrow. This year – against the backdrop of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the incredible research response of investigators around the globe – I would like to also recognize the dedication and accomplishments of Canadian researchers from across all HIV research disciplines and our community partners. The collective commitment, discoveries and advancements of researchers from across the country has contributed greatly to improving the lives of people living with HIV as well as the prevention of its transmission here in Canada and globally. On this World AIDS Day, the Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR) continues its pledge to remain engaged and relevant, relying on what has become a hallmark of our association: a shared dedication, enthusiasm, and willingness to work together to achieve great success.
