Andrew Matejcic
Executive Director
Andrew has been the Executive Director for the Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR) since Fall 2011. Before joining CAHR, Andrew worked for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) since its creation in 2000. At CIHR, Andrew held various positions including Director of Communications, Senior Policy Advisor and most recently as Associate Director for the CIHR HIV/AIDS Research Initiative (2008-2011), the arm of CIHR which is responsible for the $22.5 million that CIHR receives annually via the Federal Initiative to Address HIV/AIDS in Canada and the Canadian HIV Vaccine Initiative. Before his tenure at CIHR, Andrew worked on Parliament Hill.
Erin Love
Director of Programs
Erin Love joined the Canadian Association for HIV Research in 2012 and is currently the Director of Programs. Erin leads the planning, development and implementation of the annual CAHR Conference and the CAHR workshop series, as well as other projects aimed to achieve CAHR’s mandate. Erin also leads sponsorship and fundraising efforts for the organization.
Before joining CAHR, Erin worked in the Divisions of Infectious Diseases and Psychiatry at The Ottawa Hospital. Her background is in Education, with a specialization in Biology and Physical and Health Education. Erin is fully bilingual.
